Where’s your safe place? Where’s the place that makes you be you? Somewhere to dance. To lose yourself. To not care. Every place should be that. But for some of us, that’s not the case.
The 49 is a poignant, moving new play which takes place before the Orlando Gay Nightclub massacre in June 2016 up to the night when 49 people were murdered by a single gunman. The play explores sexuality, identity, and what it is to be safe in a modern world.
