We are hosting a special quiz this week to raise money for Meningitis Now to help them research for more vaccines, support survivors, and counselling for bereaved families.
Our host will still be the infamous Boogaloo Stu, the entry fee per person is still £2, although the prize money will instead go to Tricia Curmi who has organised this event:.
‘Thirty years ago this year my younger brother Laurence died of Meningitis B. When my own toddler got the new Meningitis B vaccination, I decided to do something to give back to the organisations that made it possible. So I combined a lifelong hatred of running with a lifelong hatred of shitty diseases and decided to raise money for Meningitis Now in the London Marathon in April (sorry Brighton, don’t hold it against me!). Also important is awareness: don’t wait for a rash, and look out for your adult family and friends, it’s not just kids who are affected.’
Tricia will also be at the event with some donation boxes, and
the prize for the quiz winner will be a voucher for the lovely gender neutral Gender Free World clothing of your choice in Hove, and a bottle of nice (vegan) wine.
Please call us to book a table in advance!
